I have formally practiced programme management for 8 years, from software upgrades across multiple integrated finance systems to complex mobilisation programmes across hundreds of sites. I understand how to build a programme to implement strategic goals, whilst allowing tactical business needs to be met and I am experienced in reporting & presenting to board level in an understandable format to allow informed & meaningful decisions to be made at a senior level.
I have 20 years of experience as a Project Manager, across a wide range of industries, using methodologies including Prince 2, SSADM, Scrum, Kanban/Lean and Six Sigma – I am able to rapidly adapt. Managing end-to-end projects from initial engagement through to post go-live support, I believe that the key to successful project management is great communication. I also possess an excellent understanding of technical systems, allowing me to communicate well at detail level as well as high level.
Nearly 20 years of Business Analysis experience has built skills to allow me to quickly understand complex situations, assembling cost/benefit reports and resulting business cases. I am able to run efficient requirements gathering workshops and ensure appropriate requirements/process documentation is generated.
For over 18 years, I have been effectively and directly managing change within business, mapping direct and indirect change in advance of systems and process implementation, then engaging with the correct people to ensure the change is managed proactively and effectively, minimising conflict.
I have managed a number of staff both directly and indirectly (matrix management) across a large geographical range. I am confident and experienced working as a line manager of static teams and/or with matrix management of people from multiple teams and the resulting resource planning.
